Purchased a 2018 f-150 3.5l ecoboost the motor blew at 4k miles did a cash out keep lemon law and they rebuilt the motor at 8k motor blew again once again did a lemon law in total ford payed my 18k back and I too that and purchased a 2020 Toyota tundra and boom no more issues lol 😂 find a sec😮gen tundra and you’ll be happy forever

I currently drive an F150 with the 3.5l eco boost with cam phaser issues. I won’t buy another F150. Sadly Toyota is also showing blown engine issues in their new 2024. Word is getting out on that. I need a truck. Looks like on older v8 is my best option.

I had the same issue, removed the plastic filter altogether, installed an inline JD fuel filter about 1 foot down from fuel tank and problem solved. Plus you can remove the JD inline filter when you want, wash it out with water, let dry, re-install....forever. The JD filter does not need replacing, just cleaning/washing.

I have a 2016 f160 coyote engine I have never had a problem with it. I owned many GM products before I got fed up with GM and switched to ford . They can all build lemons I guess this is my point

Now it is coming to light that 2011, 2012 and 2013 F150's with the 5.0 engine, were built with valves made of inferior metal which cause them to begin to fail after 100k miles. How sorry is that? It is being called the tulip effect.

I had few Ford/Lincoln vehicles and while my experience was mixed, I also said that I would never buy a Ford vehicle again, and so far, since 2007, I kept my promise. I hear now they got even worse than what I remember, but this will be the trend for all of the manufacturers. After my Ford fiasco, I owned a GM vehicle. They are doing similar things, and we sold our 2007 Suburban four years later, and I have never look at GM again. I had couple Honda vehicles and Toyota vehicles. It is a much, much better experience. In my opinion, every car manufacturer has bad and good cars. Some seem to have more or less than the others since they share parts or similar manufacturing processes. Generally, however, fewer options you have in the car, it is more reliable, and smaller the vehicle, fewer the problems in a long run. Buying a Raptor, it does not mean that it will be the most reliable F150. It is a truck that has a lot of tech and a suspension that requires more frequent maintenance. It is also a very heavy vehicle, which also tend to strain the transmission and the engine. So, if someone tells me that Raptors are the best F150, that does not mean, it is in respect to the reliability aspect. If you want to have a reliable 1/2 ton truck, you should look to Tundra, 2014 - 2021, or maybe a Titan, which are much safer bet than the GM/Ford/Ram alternatives. We all learn lessons, sometimes in a hard way, and, just because a UA-camr says that a particular vehicle is great, it does not mean that it is great. Even a Land Cruiser, the 200 Series, can cause a lot of headaches for the owners, and those are not cheap to fix either, although being known to built like a tank. Yes, I am one of those people that also will never buy a Ford vehicle ever again, but there 330+ million Americans that many of them would/will buy a Ford vehicle, so the management does not really care. Your points are great, and hopefully a lot of viewers will take a note and refuse to buy a Ford again. Soon or late, Ford's management should realize that their short-term strategy will bite them in the tushy, but as I said, it will take a long time.

In the long bed configuration, the bed is 12.5” longer than the Gator bed. They are the same width and depth. The Gator has the single handle release tailgate which is better. The biggest drawback to these Kubotas is how utterly slow they are. The suspension is also too stiff for fun trail rides. But useful as a utility machine I guess.

WD-40 removes lube. Its a degreaser. Use any silicon lube and i bet you would get the same result. Ever wonder why a squeaky spring stops making noise for only a minute or two after spraying it with WD-40, then it comes back x10 worse?

I'm on my second F150, never had an issue with the first one, a new 2015 XL that had 3.5 ecoboost, until it hit 180,000 miles, transmission cable snapped and then needed a throttle body. Sold that one and bought my 2nd F150, a used 2018 XLT with a 3.5 ecoboost .Cam phazer issue started at 50000 miles. I just got it into the dealer day before the "Customer Satisfaction Program" ended. They had to order the upgraded cam phazers, but since I had it diagnosed before the end of program, Ford still payed for it even though the repair was actually done a week after it ended . Would have cost me about $4000 , they have to pull the motor out to fix those, I was sweating bullets when they handed me the bill when I picked it up, luckily it was just a bill for new sparkplugs Sounds like you have a crappy local dealer ,I had one I used where I bought my first f150, but I had to change they , they were just shady. Yours should have been on the ball about what they can and cant do as far as warranties go before Ford was even contacted Partswise its still taking longer than normal for parts to show up, the automotive industry is still catching up from the virus shut down , but 9 weeks is ridiculous , something else is going on there.
